Age of Ultron: Another epic battle!

avengers_age_of_ultron_2015_movie-wideTo celebrate the end of my test week (which was also the reason why I seemed to have vanished from the internet), yesterday I went to see Marvel’s most anticipated movie this year, The Avengers: Age of Ultron. We Indonesian peeps are very lucky to have the privilege of seeing it earlier than almost half the world!

Just to be safe, this is no way an in-depth review of the movie but more like a random rambling by a crazy blogger who has nothing to post. Oh, and don’t worry, this is a completely spoiler-free post!

So what did I think of the movie? One word to describe: EPIC. The tension builds up to that one hell of an AMAZING battle scene — an all-out war against the Avengers’ new enemy, a tremendous threat for humanity. Needless to say, since this is Marvel, the visual effects are so far away from being a disappointment. I was also really happy to see these awesome heroes fighting together again, though facing some rocks in the process. Iron Man is still hilarious and oh. My. God. Did Chris Evans get hotter or what?? These two seem to be the main force in this war and not that it’s a terrible idea but I wish Black Widow had had more screen time? Haha.

Anyway, there are also new characters being introduced in the movie. I was unsympathetic toward them at first, but in the end, I found myself getting a little attached to them.  I’m definitely looking forward to the next Marvel movie! Phase Two is going to wrap up really soon with the release of Ant-Man in July and then we still have plenty of movies in Phase Three, starting with Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Here’s the list:

  • Captain America: Civil War (May 2016) – Iron Man will be in it 😉
  • Doctor Strange (November 2016)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (May 2017) – I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE GROOT AGAIN!!! <3
  • Thor: Ragnarok (July 2017) – Wow, I’m really curious because I’m guessing it’s related to the events in Age of Ultron. AND LOKIIIIIIII <3
  • Black Panther (November 2017)
  • Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 1 (May 2018)
  • Captain Marvel (July 2018)
  • Inhumans (November 2018)
  • Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 2 (May 2019)

So yeah, it seems like I will spend my late teenage years waiting for these movies to come out. HAHAHA. I should probably also re-watch the previous movies.

So, have you seen Age of Ultron? What do you think? If not, are you excited for it?

  1. I had something to say but as soon as I saw Loki everything sort of just flew out of my head xD Such a great character, I’m really looking forward to the new Thor especially after the last one ended, I imagine he will be somewhat of a main player. Gah, I seriously love Marvel. So glad you liked this one, I think I am seeing it this weekend!

  2. I WATCHED THIS ON SATURDAY AND WHEEEEE~ That was one action-packed movie! So much destruction, I think it was on par with Man of Steel. *O* I have to say, though, that even though there was never a dull moment, and that everything was pretty epic, I felt that the show overall was lacking something… I think I would have appreciated a deeper emotional connection with the characters — especially the Maximoff siblings.

But YESSS. This show just confirmed that my favorite Avenger is Iron Man. I just can’t get enough of his humor and witty comebacks! Like, that scene where he’s looking for a secret door and when he found it, he was all “Yay!”?? LMAO. Sure, he’s arrogant, but I feel like that’s what sets him apart from the other Avengers. That’s not to say that I don’t like Capt, though. I know, it’s like every movie I see him in he gets more beautiful. HOW.

Now I want a Black Widow film! I’m glad that we got a glimpse into her past, and from what I’ve read, it’s just as bizarre and interesting as Captain America’s. I would so love to see a film made on that, especially since she’s SO BADASS.

Can’t wait for the third CA! Is it too much to hope that the Winter Soldier might make an appearance?!?! (Sebastian Staaaaan. <3)

    1. YES! I’m so happy that you loved it as well. The majority of my friends was heavily disappointed :/ I agree about lacking something though! I think it was missing an emotional punch to the gut, probably because we know so little about Pietro. I do like Wanda though, because she’s freaking cool with her manipulating thingy!

Black Widow movie — THIS! I need this movie ASAP. She appears in both Captain America and Avengers but what about her own movie? Where art thou? Female superheroes is no less awesome than the male ones 😀 They also deserve more attention.
