A belated Happy New Year! 2016 was a wonderful year filled with adventure and craziness — both with old friends and many new ones. Though I’m seemingly always reluctant to leave a good year behind, no truer words than a certain saying “life must go on” have ever been spoken.
Celebrating 4th Blogoversarry
Wow! I started blogging on December 27th, 2012 and back then, who would have thought that I would keep it this long? I know that in terms of quantity, my posts have gone down each year but I’m happy that the posts I do end up publishing on this blog are the ones I’m extremely proud of, the ones that I put heart and soul into writing them — if I were to be poetic.
Many changes have happened to this blog, ranging from name to the content (which reflects my fickle interest btw) BUT I hope I can do better this year in a lot of aspects. Better writing, better graphics, better management, etc. And consistency to be honest. I need it badly here 🙁 Continue reading Three Weeks into 2017: A Collection of Thoughts
Hello guys! I know it’s a bit late but I’m here to wish you guys a joyful Christmas (still in the vibes!) to everyone who celebrates and happy holiday! As a Christian, I believe Christmas is a reminder that God loves us so much to the point that He gives us the best present of all — His Son, Jesus Christ.
Upon reading the blog title, some of you might be familiar with it because it’s indeed a popular Christmas song title, which has been covered by many singers countless times. In summary, the song tells about someone who has grown out of their childhood Christmas wishlist. Instead, they now wish for “a world in need”, hence the song title “My Grown-Up Christmas List”. To quote parts of the lyrics:
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list

I officially started uni in September and these past few months have been completely hectic. If I were to be honest, uni was nothing like what I had imagined.
The first month was kind of laid back in terms of academic. I had assignments and quiz and the usual stuff from high school, only that they are more difficult since you have to balance them with campus activities. Apparently, there were a lot of events that my department’s student association held, most of which only added to my exhaustion instead of my pride of our department to be completely honest. I regret that I hadn’t at least studied the class material before we got even busier. Continue reading Recapping my first semester of university!
I haven’t posted anything on the blog since June 23rd. How crazy is that? July went by in a flash and suddenly it’s already August and my long break will finally end exactly on next Tuesday.
Back then, I wondered how I was going to spend all these four months of doing nothing but the truth is, now I regret some of the things that I hadn’t done during the break. This is the end of everything we’ve known so far. Our last holiday together as we transition into the scary, unknown world called college. Some of my friends who go to private universities have already started their academic term, have already met new friends and people who are going to accompany them for the next 4 years of their life. They talk about intimidating upperclassmen, strict professors and hang out spots around their campus — things that I don’t understand at all. I’ve come to accept the fact that I won’t see them in a daily basis anymore but I’ve just realized just how different our lives will be after this. Continue reading A nerve-wracking yet exciting fresh start
Been a while since I last posted a seasonal review!
Anyway, I didn’t have high expectations of this season’s line-up. Even after scrolling through the chart, only a couple series piqued my interest. I did give a chance to some recommended shows to no avail — I ended up dropping all of them. (WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?? AM I IN THE WRONG MOOD??) Continue reading Spring 2016: in which I dropped so many shows
