Bye, June 2017 // Introducing Monthly Recap!

I decided to bring back my old recap feature! I stopped doing it years ago. Pretty sure I used to call it “Status Update” and it was more of a weekly feature than monthly. But I’ve been meaning to revive this feature so that it will be easier to update personal stuff in my life to you. In a more organized fashion LOL.

On finals result and holiday

After finals week was over, I was anxiously waiting for my results. Much to my surprise, I got C for one course. Even though I always submitted my assignments in a timely manner and I was able to do the final exam. I mean, I was mad and confused and angry because my friends who cheated got A wtf? And the only people who got C in class were me and my other friend who got in trouble with the lecturer. My lecturer never returned our assignments nor let us know our grades beforehand, so I couldn’t really protest this shit. Plus, she said that if we questioned her about the final grade, she would lower the grade even more wtf?

But I should probably be grateful about the other courses because I got good grades for them. In the end, I still hate my GPA this semester. I really want to retake that course in which I got a C for no reason./end rant

I went on holiday to Bali with my family! We visited beaches and temples, ate at restaurants with beautiful scenery and did some late-night walk around Kuta. Above are the pictures I took at Ulu Danu Bratan Temple which is located in Bedugul.

Throwback!

About hobbies in general

June was a good month in terms of productivity. I mainly caught up to my reading, slowly but surely. I finished two books, which was Winter by Marissa Meyer and P.S. I Like You by Kasie West. At the moment I’m currently reading Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas I’M DYING TO FINISH IT?!?!??!?

I’m also catching up to the second season of Shingeki no Kyojin, though I sort of put it on hold to finish my books first. There’s one Asian movie I’d like to recommend to you all though! It’s called Yesterday Once More and it’s a bit similar to Our Times though I slightly prefer Yesterday Once More simply because it made me cry so many times!

I’m pretty sure I will be busy at hell in July! I have a campus event to organize and around late-July I will go hiking with my friends. Let’s hope I don’t die lol. I hope Wonder Woman lend me some of her strength because I need it so badly. But I have two reviews waiting to be posted and another post rec waiting to be written… Let’s hope I’ll find time to squeeze these blog posts ^^

So, what have you been up to this month? 😀

  1. Oh I’m sorry to hear about your grade, that really sucks especially when you’re not even sure of the reasons behind the grade. I’m happy you had good results overall in the other courses, that’s something to be proud of for sure 🙂
Glad you had a good time in Bali, it sounds like such a pretty city 🙂
    Hope you’ll have a lovely month 🙂

    1. Thanks, Marie <3 Yeah. I was really upset at first, but now I've already accepted it I guess. I still can retake the course and improve the grade...
I did enjoy my time in Bali! It was pretty crowded due to Ied holiday, but I love the day we went to beach with my cousins. The temple was very beautiful as well and we took most of our photos there.

      I hope you'll have a great July! ^^

  2. Ugh, sounds like your teacher’s quite a piece of work… *sigh* I hate how whether or not you win “the teacher lottery” can have a huge impact on your grades.

I’ll definitely be checking out Yesterday Once More, I really need to watch more Chinese films. Kinda off topic, but I was wondering if you’ve seen Your Name or A Silent Voice/The Shape of Voice?

    1. Yes. I never really experience it in high school since I thought my school teachers were fair to begin with. But I guess this is lesson learned.

I have seen Your Name!! I liked it I thought it was a pretty great movie and the animation was beautiful. Love the soundtracks too. Haven’t seen A Silent Voice though, I hope it’s just as good as its hyped.
