[Hot from the Oven] May 2013

Hot from the Oven spotlights upcoming releases of the month

Okay so these are May new releases and they totally make me wish I lived in US so I could get them! *sniff* :'(

I’m totally excited for:
Parallel by Lauren Miller
Parallel has a similar concept to one of my favorite books, and I LOVE it when contemporary meets science!
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
As for The 5th Wave, I have been hearing good things about this thing lately. And what’s cooler than alien apocalypse?? 😛
Chantress by Amy Butler Greenfield
Chantress seems like a good YA fantasy – and the cover, guys! I looove that cover!
Towering by Alex Flinn
I like to read fairy tale retellings and Rapunzel is one my favorite fairy tale so I would love to see how Towering turns out. Pretty cover, isn’t it? 😉
Once I read the summary, I instantly put The Rules for Disappearing on my to-read shelf. I mean, Witness Protection Program and fake identity? Count me in! 🙂
Doll Bones by Holly Black
I don’t read MG much (except for Rick Riordan books) but this one is written by Holly Black!! I really loved her Curseworkers series!

Other Releases:
*Not in particular order*
Dare You To by Katie McGarry
Icons by Margaret Stohl
If I Should Die by Amy Plum

Reboot by Amy Tintera
School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins
Invisibility by Andrea Cremer
Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer
Goddess by Josephine Angelini
So, let me tell you that my post today doesn’t cover up all releases in this month…
Is there any book that you’re excited for this month? Books I haven’t mentioned here? Be sure to tell me 🙂

Have an awesome month!!

  1. As you probably know, I loved The 5th Wave so much. 😀 And I’m also super excited for The Rules for Disappearing! 😀 I recently reviewed a book on my blog called The Drowing, which is released tomorrow, so that might be worth you checking out. 🙂

  2. I think it just sent my comment before I was done… anyway! I can’t wait for some of these to come out either. I really feel for you about the US thing, Bec isn’t from the US either and I know she can’t stand it when she doesn’t get a book right away! Love the cover for Towering and Icons!

    1. The temptation for us who live outside the US is really big 🙁 If it’s a popular book, then maybe I’ll get it here a few months after the original release date *finger-crossed*

  3. I have Parallel to review so I’m really glad you added it to your list, Kezia.
The 5th Wave also looks really good. Hope you get around to a few of these! 🙂

  4. There are so many great books coming out on Tuesday it is almost overwhelming..almost. 😉 So many great ones I plan on getting! I hope you are able to pick up a few as well. 🙂
