A couple of weeks ago Shannelle did her post and she tagged some bloggers and everyone whose name begins with C and K. Well, as someone whose name starts with K, I cannot ignore this calling and I shall bestow my first serious attempt at book photography!
Unfortunately, due to poor lighting in my room, all these pictures are HEAVILY edited (thank goodness for VSCO cam).
How this tag works:
- Find books that fit the category, and you can choose to use the covers or take pictures.
- Tag as many people as you want but they are not obligated to do it.
- Link back to Novel Ink. (The creators of the tag)
And now behold, my findings… *drum rolls*
Book with the word “GONE”
I’M SORRY I DO NOT OWN A PHYSICAL COPY THAT FITS THIS CATEGORY D:
Book with a weapon on the cover
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
A bit blurry because the plastic cover reflects the light… Continue reading First attempt at book photography: The Find Me Tag!
Been a while since I last did a tag so huge thanks to Meg @ Adrift on Vulcan for tagging me ^^ It’s no secret that I love fairy tales. Believe it or not, I used to re-read my Disney princesses storybooks countless times when I was younger. They are part of my childhood. Anyway, now it’s time for my answers! Continue reading When dreams come true: Cinderella Book Tag!
I saw this post on Mel’s blog The Daily Prophecy and it seemed like a fun thing to do! Basically, I will answer these Frozen-inspired categories with books or characters. I also tag everyone so feel free to do it as well! <33 This tag was originally created by The Writing Hufflepuff.
Beautiful! Powerful! Dangerous! Cold! What character do you think of when you hear this description?
Easy answer: The Darkling from The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. He is the very embodiment of those qualities.

It’s been a while since I last did TTT post guys! Today’s topic is:
2014 Debuts I’m Most Excited For
1. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
I have been hearing tons of positive feedback and fangirling on Twitter for the last couple of weeks and OH. MY. GOD. It’s a mix of Greek mythology AND Beauty and the Beast — who could possibly be not excited for that? And as you know, I’m a Greek geek and retelling freak soooo I definitely have this high on my TBR 😉
2. The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings
This one sounds so darkly epic! Plus, the heroine sounds so badass from the synopsis! <3 I just hope she won’t melt into goo after meeting the love interest cause that happens nearly every single time with this kind of heroine.
3. Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas
Eeep! I really like a light contemporary but I haven’t read in for ages 🙁 Ask Again Later seems like the perfect break from all the heavy reads and schoolwork since school just started.
4. Sekret by Lindsay Smith
Russian culture is cool and I’ve been wanting to read a book about one ever since I discovered the amazing Grisha trilogy. Also, I LOVE spies and anything espionage!!
5. Alienated by Melissa Landers
The cover and synopsis just drew me in! Alienated seems like the perfect blend of sci-fi and romance. In addition, I’ve read a positive review which totally convinced me that this book is awesome 😉
6. Open Road Summer by Emery Load
Pretty cover + summer contemporary + friendship story = ME WANTS!! Books set in summer are always my favorite to read. And this book’s cover is just encouraging me to do so haha.
I could only come up with six ;_; But these are the ones that I’m genuinely excited for and I’m hoping I could get a copy of these!
Which 2014 debuts you’re most excited for? 😀
Hellooooo guys! 😀 There hasn’t been many posts on the blog this week but I’ve scheduled a few for next week! Also, I haven’t been in the mood to write discussion posts even though I have this growing list of topics — I wonder why. It used to be one of my favorite posts to write 🙁
Anyway, not many books I got this week. Again, not gonna link them up to GR. Blame my lazy self lol. Here they are:
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Yeah. >w< I’ve been hearing so many negative reviews for it but you know what? Curiosity kills the cat, but hopefully this book won’t kill me (in a bad way). At least, I’m hoping it would be entertaining! 😀 Plus, blame the cover because I’m weak when it comes to gorgeous covers! *_*
Defy by Sara B. Larson (Thank you Scholastic and Netgalley! :D)
I’ve actually read this and unfortunately I thought it was frustrating 🙁 My review will be up on the blog soon!
So that’s what I got this week! I’m sooooo excited since Christmas is VERY NEAR. Have you got any plans? Share em with me with the comments below or you can also link up your Christmas haul! 😉
